One of the largest Amazon species, they have a green body with a dusty or 'mealy' appearance due to a faint white-ish tinge to their feathers. Some have a patch of yellow on the crown.

Fair talking ability. They can learn words and phrases but are not considered the most gifted talkers of the genus.
Dietary Needs
A standard low-fat Amazon diet is appropriate: high-quality pellets with plenty of fresh vegetables and occasional fruits.
Health & Lifespan
Can live for 40-60 years. Obesity is a concern. They need a large cage and plenty of out-of-cage time for exercise.
Housing Requirements
Requires a very large cage due to their size. Minimum 40"W x 30"D x 60"H. Not ideal for apartments.
